Cody Zuiderveen, one of the missionaries we support in Haiti, send the following update: “Thankfully, there is not a lot to update you on from Port-au-Prince [Haiti] so far. We are closing our office in anticipation of heavy rain, but according to the forecast, we shouldn't have much more than that in the capital. We have been trimming back trees around our homes and offices, filling up all of the vehicles and generators with gas, and storing additional food and water in our homes.”
He added, “The most vulnerable here in Haiti are those who live up in the mountains [affected by high winds], those in the north, and those in the communities along the coast who will likely experience significant flooding from the rain.”
We are praying for them and all those in the path of Hurricane Irma. ...
Our vibrant inter-generational Sunday worship services are at 10:00 AM & 5:30 PM. The morning service is a blend of contemporary and traditional, with music, prayer and Biblical preaching. The evening service is held in a more informal setting in the Friendship Hall and usually includes a Q & A time for open discussion of the Scripture and topic for the evening.
We are excited about what the Lord is doing through the ministries of our church and we are eager to tell you about them. Life at South Grandville is all about people - we believe that each person we meet is precious to God and we want everyone to feel "at home" in our congregation.
Our goal is to create an atmosphere of openness in our hearts, in our worship and in welcoming others. So check us out and find a place where you feel at home.
Our Church is barrier free.
